Ryan Pierce
1970
-
Ryan Pierce, guitarist and
bass, is a member of the Emmanuel Quartet, a group that had its beginnings when
Tim Reutebuch and Joey Davis began singing together
in a male quartet at Highland Academy in Tennessee. A more recent member, he
has enjoyed participating in a quartet that sings religious music with a
cappella barbershop-style harmony.
Pierce, born and raised in
central Illinois, was surrounded by music from his earliest years. His father
was a piano tuner, and Ryan's earliest musical experience was in taking piano
lessons. That early exposure, along with singing and playing
music in church as a child and later participating in band and choir in high
school, created a lifelong love of music. Although presently his
instrument of choice is guitar, he still finds fulfillment in playing piano and
singing.
Pierce, his wife, JoElle, and their three sons reside in Ooltewah, Tennessee.
