Russell Hospedales
Russell Hospedales, baritone, has been singing in The King's Heralds Quartet since 2002, where he also serves as arranger for the group. A native of Port of Spain, Trinidad, he was raised in Queens, New York City. He studied music at Andrews University and at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music.
Early in his career as a baritone, Hospedales toured with a group that presented a musical tribute to George Gershwin. He subsequently moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he sang as a studio session recording artist. In his work there, he provided background vocals for a number of well-known recording artists.
His two most recent solo CDs, Polyphonous Zone and Voice in the Fog were released in 2010 and 2011, respectively. A recent release by the quartet, Hymn Sessions, was arranged primarily by him.
Hospedales is married to Samuela. They have two daughters, Becky and Anna.
