Otto Krotz attended Union College in the 1920s and 1930s and taught violin at Southwestern Junior College, now Southwestern Adventist University, in the 1950s. Prior to, during, and after this involvement with the department, he tuned pianos for a living. A native Oklahoman, he was living there at the time of his death, at age 78.
