Linda Holland Roberts
Linda Holland Roberts, a
pianist and organist, was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. In 1972 she
completed a B.Mus.Ed. at
Southern College of Seventh-day Adventists, now Southern Adventist University, and
then taught at Enterprise academy in Kansas for a year. She married Eldon
Roberts in December 1973.
Though she now serves as
secretary for Women’s Ministries in the Georgia-Cumberland Conference, Roberts
continues to compose and teach private piano lessons. With her husband, she
co-wrote the theme song for "Festivals of Faith" in the 1970s.
Roberts’ music was recorded by Phyllis Galbraith in 1986, and in 1995 she
published a book, Memorable Baby
Dedication Songs. The 80-page spiral book has 26 songs with themes that
correspond to Kay Kuzma’s baby dedication materials.
More recently, she has been commissioned to write theme songs for retreats and
personalized wedding and anniversary music as well as music for children’s
choirs and other groups and events.
