Ian Erle Wilmoth

Ian Wilmoth,
a pianist, organist and brass player, was a lecturer at Australasian Missionary
College, now Avondale College, in Australia, from 1944 to 1946, where he taught
piano, organ, and trumpet lessons; conducted the orchestra; and taught music
theory classes. An adept musician with perfect pitch and an A.Mus.A., he provided an
important transitional need in music at AMC during the post-World War II years.
He also composed music and
conducted groups in Sydney (NSW); Longburn, New
Zealand; and Dubbow (NSW). He was married to Iris Mae
Cleverdon and they were living in Lismore (NSW), when
he died at age ninety.
